What a weekend! Qualifying was great! We had many improvements going into qualifying, and we nailed it. A red flag came out 10 mins before the end and I thought that would be session over. At that point, I was P14. My driver/coach said, "Can you improve?" To which I said, "Yes!" So out we went for two final laps.

On the last lap, I improved by 0.250, which put me 3rd in pro-am and P11 overall! Just shows how much difference a quarter of a second can make at this level.
Race 1 was great fun, I hit the limiter at the start meaning I lost one place, but I gained two more after that. I tried to find a way through the two other pro am’s in front, but the move never came. We finished P3 in class and 9th overall - it was mega!
Race 2, we started 8th. Pretty surreal being so near the front of the field. I finally feel like all the work is beginning to pay off.
We had a good start and didn’t lose any ground. I was running with the front pack and even managed an overtake into the hairpin. But yellow flags and the safety car board came out as I completed the move, meaning I had to relinquish the place.
After the safety car had returned to the pits, it was all go for the last 14 minutes of the race. I gained another spot while navigating the chicane, putting me in 7th overall and 2nd in the pro-am class. However, two laps from the end, a charging Pro forced me to the grass, meaning a pro-am driver behind him could also sneak through. I finished 9th overall and 3rd in class, but a penalty upfront moved me up to 2nd in class and 8th overall. Summer break now, then to Scotland in August.
