Angus Whiteside, lined up sixth of the Pro-Am runners after a tight qualifying on Saturday. From pole to 20th on the grid it was less than a second, so the margins for error were especially slim.

Sunday race day featured rainy conditions, meaning the team and drivers had to make an educated guess on the setup as light rain teamed the circuit at the start. Angus held station off the start with not much action to report at the first half of the race, after many incidences on circuit as the rain intensified, there was a red flag. Teams were allowed to change to wet tyres and from there, there would be a 6 lap sprint race. Angus finished sixth.

Race two began in fully wet conditions, with drivers having to contend with a wall of spray as they raced around the compact circuit. Angus claimed another sixth in Pro-Am with a uneventful race.

Angus adds - "Overall, I’m quite disappointed with the weekend. The plus side is that we're racing against the big names, but I just want to be higher on the grid. It takes time so we'll see how we get on. For qualifying, I drove the car well and I’m improving every time. Everyone in the team is happy so I trust their judgement.

"Going into the wet races, I had only had half a day’s practice in these conditions and on a different circuit. It was about trying to work it out for every lap and following the faster guys at the front, but they were still pulling away. Overall, we had some decent pace but there is work to do before we head to Oulton Park."
