Racing Under the Lights and in the Heat: A Weekend of Firsts and Fierce Competition!
Race 1 was under the lights—it was the first time I had experienced a night race, and everything about racing looks better under the lights. We lined up P6 and stayed out of trouble on lap 1. On lap 2, a tussle in front allowed me to take two places at once and grab P4. We held that position for the remainder of the race.
Race 2 was the following day around midday, and it was hot! Starting the race in P4, it ended up being a lights-to-flag position, unfortunately. Still, what an experience racing on a new continent!
